SQL Packager Survey - your feedback required!

Postby David Atkinson » Wed Nov 29, 2006 1:26 pm

We are conducting some research on database packaging requirements. If you have tried SQL Packager or have a need to deploy SQL Server databases we would very much like to hear your feedback through responses to a short survey (linked below). It shouldn't take much more than five to ten minutes.

Here is a link to the survey:

Postby shekhar » Wed Dec 13, 2006 7:17 am

SQL Packager creating only Primary Filegroup & LOg file ....
I did not find any provision for creating user-defined filegroups when I Install the database using the EXE generated by SQL Packager(Create a New Database)
And I have created the EXE from a database which sis having 4 user-defined filegroups..

It will nice to see if Packager has an option to make it a snapshot file. I use SQL Compare snapshot and it works great. I wish i can do the same with packaged data with schema. That way I can manually create the database and run this snapshot which will create the schema and stuff the data.
