Possible to compare different schemas?

Postby davidsumlin » Mon Feb 10, 2014 12:06 am

Is it possible to compare objects from different schemas? Here's my scenario.

I have two different schemas with the same tables/views that I'd like to compare. Is there a way to do that?

Hi David,

Thanks for the post.

You should be able to accomplish this by choosing the same database for the source and the target and then going to the "owner mapping" tab in the project options. By default, the schemas will be matched up with themselves, but you can unmap them and then map different ones to each other.

Hope that helps.

Evan

Ahhh, for some reason I thought I looked there, but maybe I just didn't understand it correctly. Excellent, thanks! That solved my issue.
