Deployment Manager with SSDT

Postby hilayo » Tue Oct 01, 2013 2:45 pm

We are currently working with DB solutions in Visual Studio against TFS source control.
The continuous deployments work pretty well, besides one issue- DB versioning.
This is why we are considering using the Deployment Manager.
I just want to know beforehand:
Can we keep managing our DB scripts in Visual Studio? (as I understood, your VS add-in refers only to web apps...)

Hi Hilayo,

Yes, you're correct about the VS add-in only supporting web apps at the moment. So you're looking to use it to publish SSDT database projects too?

This is something that is on our backlog, actually quite soon. We'll also be extending the RgPublish command line with the same functionality.

There are workarounds available (for command line based publishing only) that I can provide if you're not able to wait for this.

Hi Justin,

Do you have any further updates or timings on SSDT support.
