New functionnality request : Diffing profiling sessions

Postby JolyLoic » Wed Feb 02, 2011 3:36 pm

I'm new in using ANTS Performance profiler, but here is some functionnality that I think could make it even better:

I made a measurement, saw a problem, then decided to change my source code. I made another measurement, and I think it would be really interresting if I could have a kind of diff between the two measurements, telling me where I went faster than before, and how much.

Thank you for your product !

It may be helpful to know we have an unsupported utility for comparing performance and memory profiling runs:
ftp://support.red-gate.com/patches/ANTS ... ompare.zip
The basic idea is to go to the all methods grid, CTRL-A, then CTRL-C, and finally paste the results into the application into results #1, then do the same for results #2.

After a brief comparison, a grid will show the time diffs between the two.
