Load on the server

Does SQL Monitor use WMI? - how does it work and in general how much extra load does it put on the server that it monitors?

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for your post. Yes, we do run some WMI queries for some data collection. Though we are using WMI much less in V 2 than we did in V 1.

The load on the server we monitor is almost negligible/ none. Also, we do not install anything on the servers that we are monitoring.

The best place to give feedback about SQL Monitor would be this forum or via email to eapresponse@red-gate.com.

Thanks and Regards,
Priya
