Script as Alter

Postby rldawg » Sun Sep 05, 2010 1:25 am

This is a fantastic feature. It will come in handy for sure.

Here is a suggestion along those lines. On the context menu for a View in the object explorer, it would be totally awesome if you could add an Edit option that creates an alter script. IN SSMS 2005 there was a context menu option to Edit a view. Microsoft inexplicably removed the option in SSMS 2008 and has refused to put it back. Instead, from the context menu we must select Script View AS > Alter to > New Query Window. It would be nice to bring back the one step vs 3 steps.

Hopefully you guys see this as worthwile. Perhaps others in the forum agree?

Thanks for a great product!
