SQL Source Control is an add-in to SQL Server Management Studio that allows you to source control your database objects in Subversion or Team Foundation Server. v1.0 features include:

Source control your databases
• Fully integrated with SQL Server Management Studio
• Commit new, modified and deleted schema objects to source control with comments
• Get the latest version of the schema from source control to your database
• View the code differences between your database and the version in source control
• Uncommitted changes are indicated in the Object Explorer
• Undo (revert) your uncommitted changes
• “Keep mine” and “Take theirs” conflict resolution

Use your existing source control system
• Link a development database with your existing source control system (Subversion or Team Foundation Server)
• Use your existing source control system for version management (tagging/labelling)*
• Use your existing source control system to browse the object history*

Work with other Red Gate tools
Source control static data using SQL Data Compare Pro*
• Deploy from source control using SQL Compare Pro and SQL Data Compare Pro
Automate your database builds using SQL Compare Pro and SQL Data Compare Pro
• Roll back to old versions of your schema or individual schema objects using SQL Compare Pro*

* These features will be available in future versions of SQL Source Control.

SQL Source Control supports a dedicated or shared development database model, but dedicated is recommended. For more information, see the Recommendations Post.
