TFS support requires the MS Team Explorer Client

Postby jason_d » Wed Oct 30, 2013 5:03 pm

Hi,

When trying to link a database to source control I get the bellow message:
"Team Foundation support requires Microsoft Explorer Client"

I have VS 2012 Professional and the Team Explorer for Microsoft Visual Studio 2012.
Is there something else that I need to install?

Thanks,
Jason

Hi Jason,

Sorry you're experiencing issues with SQL Source Control.

Following the steps in this article should resolve the issue: http://documentation.red-gate.com/displ ... on+Service

Please let us know if that doesn't help.

Thanks,
Evan

Thanks Evan,

I'll try this next time. I solved the issue by installing Team Explorer for VS 2010, then SP1 for VS2010 and then reapplying VS2012

Thanks,
Jason
