WebDev.WebDev40.exe crashes when taking a snapshot

I'm trying to hunt down a memory leak in an ASP MVC web site. If I profile by selecting 'ASP/NET Web Application (web development server)' then I get a popup that "WebDev.WebServer40.exe has stopped working" when I try to take a snapshot (crashing the webdev server process).

Here are the 2 related event log entries:

I've also tried starting the website via Visual Studio then manually attaching to the process. However, when I try to take a snapshot I then get the following exception in Visual Studio:

FatalExecutionEngineError was detected
Message: The runtime has encountered a fatal error. The address of the error was at 0x6f120e96, on thread 0x33e4. The error code is 0xc0000005. This error may be a bug in the CLR or in the unsafe or non-verifiable portions of user code. Common sources of this bug include user marshaling errors for COM-interop or PInvoke, which may corrupt the stack.
