Any ETA on SQL Source working w/ Vault 6.1 ?

Postby sgilboy » Wed Mar 06, 2013 6:44 pm

It's been a vicious circle, I couldn't update to Visual Studio 2012 without going to Vault 6.1 but in turn that broke us using SQL Source Control

Any eta on when they will work together?

Thanks for your question. There is no date set for Vault 6.1 support at the moment, but if you want to be heard about this, you can add your comments to the UserVoice site for SQL Source Control.

I posted to the UserVoice. But this http://redgate.uservoice.com/forums/39019-sql-source-control/suggestions/3075831-vault-6 incorrectly states that Vault 6.1 is supported and is marked Completed.

Greg

I did get this working by unlinking SQL Source Control from the database and then relinking it...

I ran into an issue when trying to adjust some advanced properties of SQL Source (couldn't find reference to "Microsoft.VisualBasic.PowerPacks.Vs"), but i fixed that here in this thread:

I'm fully able to use the SQL Source again

Hey thanks!

I tried relinking and it now it does indeed work. I know I've tried this in the past, so not sure what version they finally fixed this in. But it is working with Vault 6.1 and SQL Source v3.4.0.103.
