Installation halted while the status was : \"Configuring IIS Features...\", bringing up the dialog ..

\"There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of this setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personal or package vendor\".

The install created a file MSIdca1f.log, the contents of which are (in full)..

Hi,

This is a problem with installing/enabling IIS on the target machine. It's normally caused by the IIS installation requiring a reboot, which you can fix by rebooting the machine and then re-running the installation.

That solved it thanks. There was a sneaky windows patch requiring a reboot....
