ANSI_WARNINGS Project Option

Postby s_solt » Fri Mar 22, 2013 6:23 pm

NB I couldn’t find a wishlist on the support forums.

For several years I have wanted a project option to set ANSI_WARNINGS OFF when I am happy to ignore data truncation warnings. I know I can (and do):

• Copy the script to the clipboard
• Paste it into SSMS
• Edit two lines
• Execute it
• Go back to SQL Compare
• Close the deploy dialog
• Recompare

But this is a bit of a performance, particularly if I am using repeated deployment attempts fixing each error in turn that prevents the synch in order to identify all the issues other than those related to data truncation.
