How to execute commands automaticly before and after commit?

Postby meister » Tue Jan 22, 2013 2:59 pm

Hello everybody,

I want to know if it's possible to execute automaticly some commands before and after the commit?

Exactly it's about to execute the command "Find invalid objects" (from RedGate SQL Prompt 5) before commit. If there is any invalid object I want to abort the commitment.
After the commit I want to execute automaticly the "Add migration Script..." Button (or just anything like that to remind the developers on creating a migrationscript).

Shared development is used.
SQL Source Control 3.1.0.5208 using SVN as sourcesafe.

Any ideas how I can manage this? Thanks a lot!

Hi meister,

Thanks for your post. Unfortunately, this type of feature does not exist with SQL Prompt. It does sound like a reasonable request and a good idea. I would suggest posting your idea to the following uservoice forums for the SQL Source Control and SQL Prompt teams:

http://redgate.uservoice.com/forums/390 ... ce-control

http://redgate.uservoice.com/forums/944 ... uggestions

Best Regards,
Steve

Somebody else also needs this feature and posted it in June 2011.
So everybody who wants this feature too should vote for it
