Cannot access network folder

Postby Oliwa » Thu Mar 22, 2012 12:59 am

I just installed SQL Backup v6.5 and I cannot backup to a network folder or copy to a network folder. The share is on a remote server and everyone has full access (just trying to get it to work). I can browse to the remote folder and create a folder or copy files.

On step 3 of the backup screen I enter the UNC path in the text box and click the test button. The error is "Folder does not exist" but I know it does and the account has access to it.

Thanks
Oliwa

Does the SQL Backup Agent service startup account have rights to that network share?

What is the result that's returned if you run the following from SSMS:

Code: Select all
EXEC master..sqbutility 999, 'RWE', '<your network share path>'
