Slow down data generation over time?

Postby staggerlee011 » Tue Jan 17, 2012 6:02 pm

Hi,

Im looking for a simple way to keep generating data to test some DR/HA solutions. Is it possible to use the Generation Time and not have it going full tilt. And just insert data at a set amount per mins/secs etc.

Thanks

Thanks for your post.

Unfortunately, Data Generator doesn't have this kind of functionality. It's intended to generate test data in one large chunk, and that's then executed by Data Generator (and SQL Server of course) as fast as resources allow.
