support for SQL Server 2012?

Postby pl80 » Sat Jan 07, 2012 3:13 pm

When will we get a version of Data Generator that supports SQL Server 2012? Companies are evaluating the new SQL Server for scalability, and Data Generator would be helpful. Tx.

Many thanks for your post.

Do you get any specific error when you try to connect to Denali database?

I think that you may be using an older version of SQL Data Generator.

I have just run a test using v2.0.1.6 of SQL Data Generator and SQL Server 2012 RC0 (v11.0.1750) and I haven't run into any issues. Admittedly my tests have been basic rather than exhaustive so I cannot guarantee that there won't be any bugs, but you should definitely be able to connect using the above version.

Yes, I was using v 1. Then I went on to download v2, but it had "support for sql 2008 r2" as one of the new features. So I thought this still won't work with 2012. Tx.
