Source Control with VSS? - how?

Postby catfood49 » Tue Jun 21, 2011 11:04 am

Do I need to install a different version of SQL Source Control if I want to use it wtih VSS and early versions which I don't quite understand? I've installed the evaluation version and am reading things about it being supported bt I'm struggling to find out how to connect to VSS.

As Microsoft's end-of-life for Visual Source Safe is on the horizon, we're not publicising the version of SQL Source Control that supports this.

However, if you want to check it out, you can get the download link from here:

What are your plans for migrating away from VSS?

We do have plans at some point to move over to TFS but as this has been a plan for some time, I couldn't say when it will happen.

i did eventually manage to find this link myself and connect to VSS but after discussions here we have decided to wait until the switch over to TFS before looking into this product further.
